I have always drawn and painted as far as I remember. It’s been a pleasure too. I remember my teacher in 1st elementary school praising me for the drawings I made and receiving top grades. At first I thought art would never be the occupation of my life, in fact the studies that shaped me were languages, electronics and mechanics.
No matter what plans I made for my life, mother nature decided otherwise and definitely in favor of art.
My bent for art must be partly genetic since my father was also a painter. I remember when I was a boy I used to watch him paint by the easel for hours. He taught me the dynamics of the art world without talking much but rather with his examples.
Besides my father’s I was a pupil of many other masters living or just passing by Florence.
When I was well shaped and better experienced in the artistic techniques, I had my first exhibition in S.Remo at the renowned Casino of the Italian song festival at the age of 24.
Since then many other shows followed in Italy and in Switzerland. Returned to Florence in the 80s, I took art courses at the SACI school where later I taught painting techniques to younger students.
Later I got commissions for 2 large religious paintings in churches in Naples, but my steady sustainers were and still are art dealers and in particular one gallery in Florence.
Not being content in the tight clothes of a painter and having a pretty good knowledge of electronics and mechanics, I have also addressed my creativity to the
construction and experimentation of robotic painting machines.
